General Named Endowed Scholarships

Deadline Extended! Apply HERE by April 15, 2024

Special Notice: Please note the above deadline extension, which is in response to the unprecedented complications of the US FAFSA form and subsequent delays in financial aid and admissions processes. UMHEF remains committed to supporting both our students and United Methodist-related institutions.

The UMHEF General Named Endowed Scholarship program includes awards of varying amounts from 130+ named scholarship funds established by various donors. These traditionally competitive awards consider GPA, income, leadership, etc. Strong preference is given to students attending United Methodist-related schools in the United States. In rare cases, a student attending a non-UM-related school may be awarded.

Unlike the UM Dollars for Scholars program, General Named Endowed Scholarships do not require matching funds from a student’s church.

Eligibility

In addition to these basic eligibility requirements, some funds have additional criteria (i.e. from a specific state/region, majoring in specified field, etc.) that students must meet in order to be considered. Some awards are also designated to support students of various diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. We will match you with the award(s) for which you are most eligible based on your completed application.

How to Apply

Deadline Extended! Apply HERE by April 15, 2024 for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Submitting the one General Named Endowed application will consider you for all scholarship funds and will match you with the award for which you best qualify.
