FA Offices: Now Accepting Foundation Merit Nominations

REMINDER - Scholarship Nomination Deadline for Financial Aid Offices!

Annually, each of our United Methodist-related school, college, university, or theological schools in the U.S. are eligible to nominate students for Foundation Merit Scholarships.

The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation (UMHEF) annually allocates a $2,000 scholarship for each United Methodist-related school, college & university to distribute to one student. For each United Methodist-related seminary or professional school in the U.S., UMHEF annually allocates a $3,000 scholarship each for a first, second, and final-year student.*

Eligible students must be:

-A member of the United Methodist Church for at least 1 year

-Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent from latest academic transcript (HS for freshman)

-Preference should be given to ethnic minority and/or first generation college students. 

Click here to download a Foundation Merit Scholars Program nomination form and students may seek nomination DIRECTLY THROUGH YOUR SCHOOL'S FINANCIAL AID OFFICE by October 1, 2015 (but...the sooner, the better)!

*Students are allowed only one scholarship from UMHEF per school year.
