The September 11th Memorial ScholarshipAWARDThe United Methodist Higher Education Foundation has set aside funds for students who are eligible for this program according to requirements listed below. Distributions will be based on the number of students who apply for support. PURPOSETo provide assistance for surviving victims and dependents of victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11. The scholarships are restricted to either: (1) students attending one of the 122 United Methodist-related institutions in the United States, or (2) United Methodist students attending higher-education institutions in the United States. ELIGIBILITYApplications will be accepted for candidates who have lost a parent or guardian or have had a parent or guardian disabled as a result of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks; or who are direct victims disabled as a result of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The scholarships are restricted to either: (1) students attending one of the 122 United Methodist-related institutions in the United States, or (2) United Methodist students attending higher-education institutions in the United States. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled in a full-time degree program (graduate or undergraduate) and must maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by the institution he/she is attending.
