Megan Finley
Foundation Merit Scholar
Kentucky Wesleyan College

"Please express my heartfelt gratitude to all those involved in the selection process for the Foundation Merit Scholarship for 2006-07. It was an honor to be recommended and a blessing to receive the award. The ‘church’ has been an important part of my life and I have found the same Christian love at Kentucky Wesleyan. My passion is for young children and my career plan is to express God’s love and compassion in a classroom setting. Thank you all for helping me make my dream come true."

Quadruple Your Dollars for Scholars is a component of the United Methodist Dollars for Scholars program, which encourages United Methodist students to enroll in United Methodist-related colleges, universities and seminaries as well as encouraging local congregations to support that student through a scholarship of $1,000.  Those funds are then matched by the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation.

In 2006, the program was expanded to include additional funding for applicants.
The Triple Your Dollars for Scholars initiative extended the partnership between United Methodist churches and UMHEF to include select United Methodist higher education institutions that chose to give an additional $1,000 to students receiving the award.

Under the Quadruple Your Dollars component of the United Methodist Dollars for Scholars program, participating United Methodist conference foundations will provide an additional $1,000 match to recipients sponsored by churches in their respective conferences, bringing the total award to $4,000. These foundations reserve the right to restrict the number of matching awards available. Recipients must be attending a Triple Your Dollars participating institution to be eligible for the Quadruple match; other restrictions may apply per conference foundation. These foundations are listed as Quadruple Your Dollars participants.

The following conference foundations are participating in the Quadruple Your Dollars for Scholars portion of this program by agreeing to provide an additional $1,000 match to recipients from their conferences for a total scholarship award of $4,000. Recipients must be attending a Triple Your Dollars participating institution to be eligible for the quadruple match; other restrictions may apply based on conference foundation criteria and availability of quadruple funds.
